With older range finder versions without the laser you need to fire a shot, adjust the laser to get nearer the scopes reticle and repeat the process multiple times until they match up which can take ages. Setting up with the visible laser saves you minutes every time you take the gun out! The red laser can be turned off for night time shooting as you can see the IR ping through your night vision unit or left on so your shooting partner can see where you are aiming your gun and to make it easier to see where to collect your prey after shooting them. To use the range finder at night simply press the button on the stock mounted remote switch and the range finder gives out a IR laser ping which can be seen on your night vision's display.
Simply line up the laser ping on your prey and its distance will be clearly displayed on the range finders display in yards or metres which enables you to calculate how many mil dots above or below the zero you need to aim to take out your prey. The mk7 versions can have the base mounted on any 3 sides of the range finder, on the right so the range finder is mounted to the left of the scope, which is suitable for mounting to a right handed gun as the range finder is then out of the way of the cocking bolt, the opposite side for a left handed gun and a version with base on the bottom so the range finder can be mounted above the scope. The range finder will come with the mount fitted underneath the range finder as standard but the mount can be unscrewed and fitted to either left or right side in seconds. All allen keys needed to fit the adapter and range finders are also supplied.
This new version can withstand recoil up to 800G or. It is water proof and capable of ranging from 5-700m. It will work at with night with digital or gen 2 or 3 tubed night visions and during the day without night vision by using the red laser.
The new version has a battery status indicator and extra bright display, it can be set to fog mode for better accuracy in bad weather, has an inclinometer and gives the range faster than previous versions. It also has a speed mode where it can be pointed at a moving object to display its speed in miles per hour or kilometres per hour.
Distance can be displayed in yards or metres. It is fitted to the scope through a 20mm picatinny/weaver rail quick release fitting. I will include the scope picatinny rail adapter which will fit either a 25 or 30mm scopes and a brand new Panasonic lithium cr2 battery so you have everything you need to go out shooting straight out of the box.
The mk7 versions have the adjustable base fitted to enable you to zero the range finder to the aim point of your scope, it can be adjusted up or down and side to side with the adjuster wheels built into the base. This makes shooting quicker and easier as you dont have to re adjust and re aim at the target after you have found its within range. The Range finder weighs 150g. Due to regulations regarding posting lithium batteries internationally i will not be able to offer the free CR2 battery to anyone based outside of the UK. Please note the photo of the range finder mounted on the gun is of an older range finder version without the red laser and adjustable mount but the new mk7 range finder mounts to the gun in exactly the same w.The item "Full kit LE-032 MK7 Scope mountable hunting laser range finder for night vision" is in sale since Friday, October 1, 2021.
